The Superhen is a spacious chicken coop that impresses with its exclusive design. This large coop is made of solid pine and treated with weatherproof paint. It features a house measuring approximately 59 cm x 76 cm, a nesting box, and, of course, an integrated run. The floor of the roosting area is equipped with a pull-out, galvanized tray for easy cleaning. The metal sheeting protects the materials from damage. Perches are provided for the chickens to roost and rest in. Two perches offer a quiet, cozy, and comfortable sleeping area. The chickens can access the outside via a sturdy chicken ladder. The run also has two perches. Two large doors provide easy access to all areas of the run. Your chickens can easily enter and exit the coop via the ramp. A sliding door allows you to open and close the access quickly and easily at any time. The nesting box measures approximately 50 x 30 cm and has an opening roof. In a newly set up chicken coop, it's a good idea to place some plaster eggs in the nest so the hens recognize it as a place to lay their eggs. This coop is suitable for bantam chickens.
We do NOT recommend keeping animals solely indoors. Ensure sufficient exercise and species-appropriate enrichment.
The BLV recommends a floor area of 2m2 to place all necessary equipment such as drinking troughs, feed troughs, etc.
This coop is not suitable as the sole chicken coop and must be expanded to a covered area of 2m2 according to BLV regulations.
